Jim Beam Rye is frequently referred to as Beam Yellow Label. It is America's top selling straight Rye whiskey. It is made with 51% rye grain so it is drier and spicier than bourbon. It is bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) and aged for 4 years in newly charred white oak barrels. Its spicy and bold flavor is claimed to be better for mixing in most whiskey cocktails. It is sold in glass in 16 oz pint bottles, glass 750ml bottles, glass 1-liter bottles and plastic 1.75L bottles.
